Recent Major Ingame Events

Since term started on September the 1st several game-wide events have occurred affecting almost every character in game. These events include;

The Announcement of the Alumni Ball; A Ball held for ALL alumni from ALL years, also including the 8th year (but not the 7th year).
The ball has now been rescheduled for October.

The Virus moving through Europe; The Tresvario Virus has yet to reach British shores. To protect the British magical population, all magical travel and import with Europe has been suspended.

The Death of Minerva McGonagall; Minvera Mcgonagall was found on the path to Hogsmeade by three students in the school, her throat ripped out. It was decided that Fang was responsible for her death (he had been missing previously and turned up covered in blood) and so he was destroyed and Hagrid placed under investigation.
After the murder, all students in year 5 and below were removed from Hogwarts by their parents. Students aged 16 and up were allowed to make their own choice to stay.

The First School Quidditch Match; Gryffindor Vs. Hufflepuff. Won by Gryffindor. Gryffindor 370, Hufflepuff 240.

The Halloween Ball Announcement; Open to students from all year groups in Hogwarts! Come in costume!

The Virus Hits Hogwarts! During the The Alumni Ball it was confirmed that Professor Slughorn and Michael Corner had contracted the virus. The Quarantine was constructed immediately, trapping everyone in the school.

The Second School Quidditch Match; Ravenclaw Vs. Slytherin. Won by Slytherin. Slytherin 290, Ravenclaw 100.

Care of Magical Creatures Class Project; All students taking COMC now have a freshly hatched acromantula to look after. The cat-sized spiders are kept in separate cages near Hagrid's hut. Their venom can currently result in loss of feeling around the bite and some swelling.

Gabriel Bole destroyed the greenhouses; The Death Eater Gabriel Bole, currently stalking the forests around the school, attacked the school during the night, setting fire to the greenhouses. The fires spread to the east side of the school, burning the first, second and third floor corridors. These corridors are now out-of-bounds as they may be unstable.

~~What Dreams May Come; A spell has gone horribly wrong, and now students' dreams are becoming more dangerous than ever before.~~

Lavender Brown murdered; Gabriel Bole murdered Lavender Brown and left her body to be discovered by Megan and Gwenog Jones.

Sorin Radoslav murdered; Discovered in the Great Hall before breakfast, blood-splattered, but no sign of who committed the murder.

Hogsmeade Village quarantined!; Madam Rosmerta was diagnosed with the virus, and Hogsmeade village added to the bubble separating it fro the rest of the Britain.
