The 'Grab Me' policy is an experimental opt-in idea aimed at making plots more creative and offering players a chance to include or be included where they may otherwise not be.

Players give permission to be listed as 'grabbable' (nudge nudge, wink wink) and then any other player can feel free to start threads with listed characters without having to waste time emailing, asking permission, waiting for people to be online at the time, etc.

Opting into 'Grab Me' means you give permission to have threads created with you character involved without prior warning.

If you decide you truly do not with to participate in a 'Grab me' thread created for you, then you may leave an OOC note in the thread and it will be deleted.

'Grab Me' is not an excuse to God Mod. You can lead a horse to water, but you cannot make him drink. The same goes for players. You may not dictate the outcome of a 'Grab Me' thread. Whatever happens happens. Be aware this can result in unexpected twists and a thread may not in the direction you invisioned.

Players do not have to be part of the 'Grab Me' policy to start an unannounced thread with a listed character.

'Grab Me' threads require an additional tag [!Grabme] for mod identification.

If you are creating a thread with a character listed it is your responsibility to first check how many active threads that play may currently have. If they have more than three active threads (in total, including all of their characters) permission will have to be sought in order to avoid overloading our 'Grab Me' players.

Opting in also means characters may be more susceptible to being approached by Death Eaters (particularly those students in Slytherin) or have other surprises (tasty or otherwise) thrust upon them.

Players may opt in and out freely by commenting on this post with their character journal (you may opt in some or all of your characters). All posts are screened.
