A spell has gone horribly wrong, and Harold Dingle and Romilda Vane are the ones to thank. A thick mist has fallen over the grounds, trapped within the quarantine, unable to dissipate. But this isn't any ordinary mist; This is What Dreams May Come. The spell allows you to pull someone into your dreams, to share dreams with others when you're both asleep. When controlled, it can be a powerful spell, and can be used to mentally destroy someone whilst they sleep, or give someone everything they could want. When uncontrolled, well, this happens! Each week, the Mods will post a list of characters whoms the spell is affecting. For that week only, they will have the ability to drag people into their dreams, though they will be unconscious of their ability and unable to decide who it is. That means, for one week you may !Grabme anyone in the game to be pulled into any dream you desire. Or a nightmare... |
| A Few Rules |
>>The character controlling the dream will be mostly unaware it's a dream, as will any characters involved. It's rare that anyone has a lucid dream, and this is no exception. You're just you in a whole new place. Also, try not to ask 'what's going on' the whole time, because you know as well as I do that when you dream, you just tend to roll with what's happening. >>The player controlling the dream may alter the environment and anything within however they like. They cannot however, control the other characters present in the dreamscape. Just because they're in your dreams, doesn't mean they're a part of it. Victims of dream-dragging can't do anything to control the dream. It's not your dream. >>You may set the dreams anywhere you'd like. Imaginary unicorn land, Twinings Tea Factory or wherever your character dreams they are. But this is NOT an opportunity to cross-fandoms. You MAY NOT at ANY TIME use a place/NPC/scenario from your favourite movie, book, cartoon, video game etc. Keep it Potterific. >>You can't change the gender or appearance of the character dragged into the dream. They appear and act as themselves. >>Don't dream-drag characters not on the !Grabme list >>Yes, your character WILL remember the dream the next morning, and everything that happened within it. What they WON'T know, is that it wasn't just them having it. >>There's a certain element of God-modding involved here. For example, if your character dreams they're having sex with Tracey Davies, Tracey sort of has to go with it. But if you're uncomfortable RPing anything that's happening in the dream PLEASE SAY SO! Can't stress that enough. Tell a mod, tell the other player, just tell someone! We're not here to make you uncomfortable. This is supposed to be fun. >>The MOST IMPORTANT rule here: What happens in the dream happens in real life! You know when they say, if you die in a dream...? Well whilst this spell is active, you really do die in real life. Cuts, grazes, orgasms; they're all happening to your body. There's no second chances in this falling dream. (This only counts for What Dreams May Come dreams, normal dreams are safe) >>Dreamers will be given a time limit. Sorry if you miss your opportunity but please do not backpost dreams. We do not want the comm flooded with dreams and no actual threads. You may have more than one opportunity to dream (it's random) This spell has gone horribly wrong, and now whatever the mist touches is susceptible... If you have any questions about the rules or the plot arc, please post them here. Also Please Note; whilst this plot is going on, Hogwarts will he shrouded in a thick mist. It will not disappear until the mods say. Please incorporate this into your RPs. |
